EZVIZ Indoor Cameras — Smart Surveillance in the Heart of Your Home
EZVIZ indoor cameras range from compact fixed cameras to motorised dual-lens cameras. Depending on the model, the datasheets state resolution from 720p to 2K+ (2560 × 1440), human-shape detection, automatic motion tracking, two-way audio and infrared night vision from 10 to 30 m.
Four Families of EZVIZ Indoor Cameras
Depending on the size and layout of your rooms, the best type of camera varies. Here are the main families:
Fixed cameras — Simple and discreet
The C1C is a compact fixed camera, available in 720p and 1080p (horizontal field of view of 92° to 106° depending on the version), with infrared night vision up to 12 m and motion detection. Suited to a hallway, an entrance or a bedroom, it has no motor: it is the simplest to install.
C6N — Motorised to watch the whole room
The C6N (4 MP version: 2560 × 1440) pans 350° horizontally and tilts 55° vertically, with 10 m infrared night vision, motion detection and automatic tracking. It exists in several resolutions: check the version before buying.
TY2 — Automatic motion tracking
The TY2 (1080p) pans 340° horizontally and tilts 55° vertically, and automatically follows a moving object while sending real-time alerts. Its infrared reaches 10 m: well suited to a living room or hallway.
Dual lens and long range — C8PF
To identify details or cover a large room, the C8PF stands out: 1080p, two lenses that combine a wide and a close-up view in picture-in-picture, motorised rotation of 340° horizontally and 80° vertically, infrared up to 30 m, human-shape detection and a microSD card of up to 512 GB. Other recent models from the brand, such as the H6c Pro and H7c Dual, have no datasheet published on EZVIZ’s website, so we do not list their specifications here.
Key Features of EZVIZ Indoor Cameras
Detection: from simple motion alerts to human shapes
The C1C and C6N 4MP report motion, while the C8PF also detects human shapes. Human detection reduces false alerts caused by a curtain or a shadow, but it is not infallible.
Night vision: infrared, and colour on some models
All these cameras have infrared night vision: 10 m for most, 12 m for the C1C, 30 m for the C8PF.
Two-way audio: talk through the camera
Every model listed here has a microphone and a speaker: from the EZVIZ app you can talk to a child, a relative or a pet, and hear what is happening in the room.
Automatic tracking: the camera follows the movement
The TY2 pans 340° and tilts 55°, with infrared up to 10 m and a microSD card of up to 256 GB; the 4MP C6N goes up to 2560 × 1440 with 350° of rotation. In a furnished living room, a motorised model avoids the blind spots a fixed camera would leave behind a sofa or a shelf. The motorised models (TY2, C6N, TY1) can automatically follow a moving person or object to keep it in frame, with no manual intervention.
Recording Storage: Your Options
EZVIZ indoor cameras offer several storage modes:
- Local microSD card (256 or 512 GB depending on the model) — recording directly in the camera, no subscription: 256 GB for the C1C, C6N, TY2 and TY1, 512 GB for the C8PF.
- EZVIZ CloudPlay cloud (optional) — encrypted cloud storage, available depending on the country; useful if the camera is stolen or damaged. Paid subscription.
- Network video recorder (NVR) — some cameras are compatible with NVRs from selected brands: check the model’s datasheet.
Wi-Fi Setup in 3 Steps
No technician is needed to install an EZVIZ indoor camera:
- Place or mount the camera — on a piece of furniture or on the wall (screws and anchors depending on the model). Pick a spot within range of your router.
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi — plug in the camera, open the EZVIZ app, add the device (camera QR code) and choose your network. Most of these models use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.
- Set up your alerts — define detection zones, sensitivity, monitoring schedules and the notifications you want.

Frequently Asked Questions — EZVIZ Indoor Cameras
Can I use an EZVIZ indoor camera as a baby monitor?
Yes, it is a common use: two-way audio, infrared night vision and motion alerts make it possible to watch over a nursery. These are connected security cameras, not certified baby monitors: keep them out of the child’s reach and protect access to your account.
Does the camera work if the internet goes down?
Without internet, the camera can keep recording to the microSD card if one is inserted. Remote viewing and notifications are unavailable until the connection returns.
Does the EZVIZ indoor camera work with several users?
Yes. The EZVIZ app lets you share access to a camera with other household members, each with their own account.
Which Wi-Fi band do EZVIZ cameras use?
The C1C, C6N, TY2, TY1 and C8PF work on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: check that your router broadcasts this band, which almost all home routers do.
Is an indoor camera subject to data protection rules?
For strictly private use inside your home, no registration is generally required. If people may be filmed (home help, nanny, visitors), inform them. For business premises or public space, stricter rules apply: check your national data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Can my EZVIZ camera be hacked?
No connected device is immune, and security also depends on you. Choose a strong, unique password for your EZVIZ account, enable two-step verification if offered, and keep the firmware up to date.
